Senator Johanns Expresses Concern Over Keystone XL

Senator Johanns explains his outreach to Secretary Clinton in his most recent E-Newsletter.

Also today I sent a letter to Secretary of State  Hillary Clinton regarding the Keystone XL Pipeline. I was pleased to hear the State Department plans on holding additional public meetings in states along the proposed pipeline route, and today I reiterated my request that they host the Nebraska meeting near the Sand Hills so they can see the fragile and unique quality of the region. A firsthand look at the region can help the State Department better understand the distinctive nature of the location TransCanada is proposing to run its pipeline.

A decision about the proposed pipeline project is predicted to be made before the end of the year.
