State Dept. Meets with Nebraska Officials
U.S. State Department representatives are in Lincoln, NE this week, meeting with state senators and the governor – at least, as far as the Omaha World-Herald knows. Press weren’t notified of the meeting with Gov. Heineman until after it took place. No word on who else might be on the State Department’s list. State Department spokeswoman Beth Gosselin also declines to say what’s being discussed, although Nebraska’s elected representatives have been publicly asking the State Department about Nebraska’s rights and what will happen if the Nebraska legislature votes to change the Keystone XL route even as the State Department is approving it.
