US Delays KXL Decision

November 10, 2011

Breaking news: the State Department now says it will study an alternative route for the Keystone XL pipeline, effectively pushing the decision past the 2012 elections.  Because TransCanada has certain contracts in place that will expire within the next year, as markets shift, this may be a death knell for the whole project.

The victory around stopping this pipeline is important, but fragile, if we do not get it pertinently called off before the elections whoever is president by 2013 WILL go forward with the pipeline project! We must build a broad campaign to stop it NOW. THe elections isn’t the time to be quiet, it’s the time to get our message out everywhere.
All those who are serious about stopping this racist and suicidal policy to dooming the African and island nations to drought and flood, famine and death, from global warming, please read this:

We can build a real international movement of the oppressed to stop this!
