Can someone tell me what the names of those congressional individuals who will be authoring this bill, that will attempt the Obama administration to act on the Keystone XL Pipeline?

What can I assume took place in regards to the Native American citizens who had their meeting in Washington? Sorry about all the questions, but I need to understand what has transpired and how it is that the action to force this event to take place so soon, remembering that the President’s veto has the last word.

The House sponsor of the Keystone XL bill is Montana’s lone representative, Denny Rehberg (R-MT). Senator Dick Lugar (R-Ind.) is sponsoring the Senate bill along with 36 Republican co-sponsors. I think the tribal leaders’ meeting with Obama is taking place today (Friday 12/2). Keystone XL will be on the agenda but is not the sole focus of the meeting.

Apparently Mitch McConnoll and the two Texas senators Cornyn and Hutchinson are in this together. I live in Texas, and once I saw Eric Cantor come down here to speak at Rice University, establishing himself as a ‘small business man’ and saw Cornyn and Mitch McConnoll out there in Texas, pushing the ‘jobs ploy’ just about the same time that the 10 yrs research study of a geographier was censored concerning what ‘climate change’ has actually done to our earth and especially the Galveston area in which it showed much of the results. This PHD had document proof that much of what man has done to the atmosphere, Texas told his PHD that if he would take out/erase all of his found references, the state would print his findings. This Rice University professor said no to after all the work he had done in conjunction with National Geographic, so all these pieces for me are finally coming together. All the information which the EPA has documented is relevent and is scientifically proven for what oil, and its accompaning issues that it brings along with it, will in fact do what the EPA says it will do. WE IN THESE UNITED STATES will be ultimately DOOMED, or compromised terribly FROM THE GREED OF GOVERNMENT.

Sens. Lugar, McConnell hope for Dem backing on Keystone pipeline bill
By Ben Geman – 11/30/11 01:56 PM ET
Republicans trying to force the Obama administration’s hand on the proposed Keystone XL oil sands pipeline are hoping to pick up some Democratic backers for their bill to speed up approval of the project.

Sen. Dick Lugar (R-Ind.), backed by GOP leadership and dozens of other Republicans, introduced legislation Wednesday that requires a permit for TransCanada Corp.’s Alberta-to-Texas pipeline within 60 days unless President Obama determines that it’s not in the national interest. Senate Republicans today unveiled a plan to force the Obama administration to approve the controversial Keystone XL pipeline within 60 days — or make President Barack Obama publicly explain why he is blocking the project.

The measure, which is being spearheaded by Sen. Dick Lugar, R-Ind., and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., could put Obama in a politically tough position on the eve of next year’s election, by forcing him to decide between environmentalists who oppose the pipeline and some labor unions that say it would create much-needed jobs. Texans Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn.

“Congress is taking the reins and saying to the president: ‘Do this now, you don’t have to wait for Congress, you can get this pipeline going,’” Hutchison said.

Cornyn argued that the legislation would rightly force Obama to publicly proclaim whether Keystone XL’s potential economic and national security benefits justify the project. “This bill requires the president to decide whether or not that’s good enough for him, rather than allowing him to stall until after the election,” Cornyn said.

(Cornyn has never represented anyone but himself through oil and is considered one of heaviest bribe takers in government and never the people represents the people that I could see, having lived here in Texas for 13 yrs.)

GOP bill backers pitched their proposal as a plan to rev up the nation’s ailing economy while weaning the U.S. off Middle East oil. TransCanada Corp., has estimated that as many as 20,000 jobs could be tied to the construction and operation of the pipeline, although other forecasts put the numbers much lower — around 3,000. (and of course, there’s more to read if you go to this website.

TransCanada has not substanuated any of this large number concerning jobs…again, this is a ploy to get what THE 1% WANTS.
(ALL OF WHICH, PARDON MY FRENCH-CANADIAN ROOTS, IS ALL A CROCK OF SHIT AND A PLOY TO GET THAT MONEY INTO KOCH AND ALL THOSE GOVERNMENTAL OFFICIALS’ POCKETS SOONER THE BETTER. The job spark is a ploy to get the people to go along with what those in power want, which is more money.

THANK GOD PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS THE VETO POWER, and hopefully he’ll have a strategy to put these greed mongers in their place.
